Our Story

Born Between Cultures

Rooted in Colombia. Designed in New York. Crafted in Italy.

Carrasquilla began with a return to Colombia - and the discovery of a creative language that had always felt instinctive.

The Founder

A personal journey home.

German-Colombian designer Chiara Mia Carrasquilla studied Fashion Design in Munich before completing an MA in Design for Art Direction at University of the Arts London.

During a journey through Colombia, reconnecting with her roots revealed the origin of a visual language shaped by color, rhythm, craftsmanship and cultural memory. That experience became the foundation of Carrasquilla.

Heritage

The Carriel

Carried for generations by the arrieros of Antioquia, the traditional Carriel was more than a saddlebag. Its hidden compartments held letters, personal objects and the small secrets of everyday life. Carrasquilla preserves that intimacy while translating its distinctive form into a contemporary luxury object.
